Common BMW Issues We Fix

BMW cooling systems are a well-known weak point. Water pumps (both electric and mechanical), expansion tanks, and thermostat housings are made of plastic and tend to crack between 60,000 and 100,000 miles. We recommend proactive replacement before they leave you stranded with an overheating engine.

Oil leaks are the other big one. The valve cover gasket, oil filter housing gasket, and oil pan gasket are the usual suspects on most BMW inline-six and four-cylinder engines. VANOS solenoid seals also leak on many models. We see these repairs weekly and can usually turn them around in a day.
