VW's DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) transmission needs a fluid and filter change every 40,000 miles. Skipping this service leads to rough shifting and, eventually, mechatronic unit failure. We perform DSG services on both the 6-speed (DQ250) and 7-speed (DQ381/DQ500) units.

Common Volkswagen Issues We Fix

Carbon buildup on the intake valves is a known issue with VW's direct-injection TSI and FSI engines. Because fuel isn't sprayed over the valves like in port-injection engines, carbon deposits accumulate and restrict airflow. Symptoms include rough idle, misfires, and reduced power. We clean the valves using walnut blasting, which restores full airflow.

Timing chain tensioner failures on 2008-2013 2.0T engines (the EA888 Gen 1 and some Gen 2) are still a common repair. The original tensioner design allowed the chain to jump timing on cold starts. We install the updated tensioner and chain kit to prevent future issues.
